Who We Are

Raleigh Immigrant Community is a grassroots 501(c)3 nonprofit organization built from a coalition of multinational refugees and allies that seeks to maximize refugees’ and immigrants’ potential and foster our community wellness and development. We believe that through working within our refugee communities and building partnerships with other North Carolina organizations and communities, we can gain power and improve the integration experience for ourselves and for refugees who come to Raleigh in the future. Our work focuses on improving outcomes for migrants in housing, health, employment, and education.

We have been meeting informally in partnership with UNC Refugee Wellness since January, 2015, and became officially incorporated as the Raleigh Immigrant Community in April, 2016.
